Just to add I did read somewhere that the TSI ingine has timing chain rather than a timing belt, but this might only be on the newer models. Then this all got too confusing as Audi were using the same names for different things so they dropped TFSI and have just gone with TSI for turbo engines now. More info here.

Thread starter fasthatch Start date Aug 14, Status Not open for further replies. So i was talking to a buddy of mine and he has a mk5 gti with a fsi motor and he told me he had to get s3 injectors and a hpfp for him to switch over to k My question is on the mk6 gti with the tsi engine you dont have to upgrade those things when going ko4 right?
I was also told he would prolly be around hp after hes done but the mk6 has like hp with k04 without those upgrades so whats the big difference? There is technically no difference between an FSI and TSI engine as they are simply marketing labels that can be found on both engines.
Chris RevoTechnik said:. FSI does not. Never heard FSI needs injectors too but I guess so.
