What is the difference between a nobody and a heartless

Nobodies are made by the bodies left behind when a heart leaves the body and depending on the will power of the person determines the strength of a nobody and a very strong willed person can create a special nobody which is what all of the organization 13 members are made of. There are also special heartless that are called emblem heartless that Ansem the wise learned to create and the only difference between them and a regular heartless is that they have the heartless emblem on them.

Nobodies still have their minds and are capable of thinking and even the common nobodies are capable of thinking for themselves. The heartless goal is to collect hearts to create more heartless with their main goal is the heart of worlds.

The nobodies goal is most likely to regain their hearts which is why they worked for organization User Info: DemiTrusdale. User Info: MillenniumX. Unfortunately, Tetsuya Nomura screwed up his cosmology big time with KH2, and as a result some of the names don't reflect what the creatures actually are.

Heartless, despite the name, are made of the the wreckage of a heart that has been consumed by the darkness most commonly by being extracted from the body that protects it, though it can happen by other means. They reproduce by extracting the hearts of other beings, which become Heartless themselves. Most Heartless take on the forms of black creatures with yellow eyes, and they lose all memory of who and what they were before, and do not seem to be intelligent, but there have been some very rare exceptions to these rules.

For example, Sora managed to maintain his memories and personality though it is implied that he would have eventually lost them , and Xehanort's Heartless actually managed to maintain his human form. Nobodies are made from the remains of a person with an exceptionally strong heart who has become a Heartless. They don't reproduce the way that Heartless do or, it seems, at all; the only way to make new Nobodies is to make Heartless and hope a Nobody also results.

They are considerably more intelligent than Heartless, though they are still driven by a powerful instinct: to seek out and reunite with their hearts.

Some exceptionally powerful Nobodies also retain their memories and personalities, and these resemble the beings they once were. This phenomenon seems to be much more common with Nobodies than with Heartless, probably because it takes a rather powerful heart to create a Nobody in the first place.

Unversed do not seem to be related to the extraction of hearts. Nomura has described them as "those who are not well-versed in their own existence," but exactly what this means is unclear. They are formed from negative emotions, and seem to be tied to a specific being whose identity is a spoiler : they are born from it, and return to it when they die.

Like I stated before, she could not produce a Nobody since there was no darkness within her heart to produce a Heartless. But, when Sora stabbed himself with the Keyblade of Heart, Kairi's heart was released, which then created a Nobody of Kairi since Sora did have darkness within his heart. Since she was not created by a body or soul, she technically doesn't exist and shouldn't exist, but she does anyway. It is an extremely unique and special circumstance.

Since she was created by such a unique circumstance and has a unique bond with Sora since she was created by him instead of Kairi, she is able to manipulate Sora's memories and the people's memories who are close to him.

She has since returned to Kairi and Kairi is a complete person again. As stated above, Roxas has no memories of his time as Sora because Sora's time as a Heartless was so short. Terra-Xehanort Terra-Xehanort, also known as Apprentice Xehanort, is Terra's body taken over by Xehanort and is being used as a host body for Xehanort. He worked as an apprentice under the scientist, Ansem the Wise, so he can get close to the technology and resources that he has.

He tested on different people and their hearts to see what affects different tests had. All of his tests ended in the people's hearts collapsing. He locked these people up in cells in a dungeon and since their hearts were collapsing, the darkness within them came out and consumed their hearts and became Pureblood Heartless. Heartless were very rare before these experiments occurred. He then created another test.

He put alive people and dead people in the cell with these Heartless. The Heartless went for the alive people, because they had hearts. This caused the Heartless to increase in numbers.

Apprentice Xehanort, along with the other apprentices of Ansem the Wise, then created a machine. This machine was the machine stated earlier that artificially created Heartless, known as Emblem Heartless. Later, Terra-Xehanort turned most of the apprentices into Pureblood Heartless by stabbing them all with his Keyblade.

He also succumbed to the darkness and became a Pureblood Heartless himself. He was created when the Robed Figure let himself be consumed by the darkness in his heart, therefore becoming a Heartless.

That is what Ansem, Seeker of Darkness is. He had a sense of self, just like Sora's Heartless did, because he willingly became a Heartless. He is one of the only people to retain a human appearance after becoming a Heartless.

He has since been destroyed by Sora. Scar Scar gave into the darkness in his heart, which caused the darkness within his heart to come out, consume his heart, then turn into a Pureblood Heartless. Scar retained his regular appearance, much like Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. He also had a sense of self, because he willingly became a Heartless. After Scar's Heartless was defeated, a strange and unique phenomenon occurred. Beings known as The Ghosts of Scar were formed from the lingering darkness of Scar.

It is unknown why or how this exactly happened, and it is unknown if these "ghosts" would be classified as Heartless or not, but they were able to merge together to create an Emblem Heartless known as a Groundshaker, which is an even stranger phenomenon that has no current explanation. Xemnas has since been destroyed by Sora.

Since both Xehanort's Heartless and Nobody have been destroyed, Xehanort has returned as a complete person. Vanitas Vanitas is the darkness from inside of Ventus, taken humanoid form. So, Xehanort extracted the darkness side of Ventus' heart from within Ventus and it took a physical, humanoid form, known as Vanitas. Since Vanitas is a being of complete darkness, without a single bit of light within him, he produces extremely strong negative emotions.

These negative emotions are so strong, that they take physical forms, known as Unversed. That's it! I hope this was able to help anyone who was puzzled or somewhat confused with any of the enemies in the Kingdom Hearts universe Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below. Just needs a touch up here and there :3 If someone was turned into an Emblem Heartless instead of a Pureblood Heartless, then they won't return as a complete person until their Emblem Heartless is destroyed by a Keyblade, like was stated previously. There goal is to do whatever Vanitas orders them to do, and when they are destroyed, they simply vanish.

Nomura: Since they couldn't be around during KH, we needed to have an enemy that could no longer exist during that time. So we connected them to Vanitas, so that when he disappeared they will have disappeared as well. Their design concept was "emotions", so we see them with smiling faces, angry faces, crying faces The Unversed mark is also meant to be a heart that expresses emotions. They are physical embodiments of dreams. When they are destroyed, they simply vanish That is what we know so far about all the enemy types in the Kingdom Hearts universe.

Yen Sid: But these Sleeping Worlds are said to have their own manner of darkness. The small image of a dog-like creature appears on the wizard's desk Yen Sid: They are called "Dream Eaters," and there are two kinds-- "Nightmares," which devour happy dreams--and benevolent "Spirits," which consume the Nightmares. A lighter colored version of the creature appears beside it.

It paws the air cutely and rolls over Yen Sid: The Dream Eaters will guide you, just as the Heartless once guided you, to the Keyhole you seek at the heart of each world. Kairi had Sora's heart inside of her, so when she hugged him, his heart left her body and merged back with his Heartless and became whole again. Sora: I was lost in the darkness. As I stumbled through the dark, I started forgetting things—my friends, who I was.

The darkness almost swallowed me. But then I heard a voice—your voice. Gravity's got nothing on these slippery sharpshooters, and as soon as you close the distance they'll warp right outta there. The good news? Blocking will send the arrows they fire straight back at them. In bigger brawls, you'll want to make them a priority. A little magic goes a long way toward pinning them down until you can land some hits. A dragoon. A high-ranking Nobody.

When a ball of light appears after parrying its attacks, use Learn. Time it accurately, to use Jump to attack. Learn can be used as often as possible, so a series of Jump attacks is one strategy option. Is the Nobody swinging the hammer, or the hammer swinging the Nobody?

Reading its attacks can be tricky, but each blow hits like a truck, so steer clear of that hammer unless you're interested in air travel. Oh, and if you see its body shrink and its hammer grow, a combo's coming your way. Think fast! An assassin. It hides in the ground and attacks quietly from behind. It cannot be attacked while it is in the ground. Parry its attacks to get it to surface. When it starts running around, look out! It'll begin to unleash powerful attacks. Don't miss any chances to use the reaction commands to defeat as many as possible at once!

A dancer. It skates around the ground and quickly moves away when approached. Wait for the end of its attack to retaliate. When it approaches with a low posture, look out! If cornered, it retaliates with its buddies with kicks and other attacks. Fight carefully when outnumbered. It's all fun and games until somebody gets mauled by a giant playing card. Can you imagine the paper cuts from those things?! When a hand of them start circling you, watch for a flash; that's your cue to dodge.

Not interested in playing dice? Try playing baseball. Batter up! That scythe isn't your only worry; these floral fiends have a punishing petal attack as well. And a trio of Reapers can team up to bloom-bomb a much broader area. Their flower bud form may be immune to normal attacks, but as a rule, plants don't fare well against magical flames.

Lightning-quick martial arts? Razor-sharp kunai? Phantom clones? Oh, yeah. That' a ninja. Those clones do look mighty convincing, but a fake's a fake. Stay cool, watch closely, and spot the real deal—then give 'em the chop!
